Okay, we have recorded sounds for Finnish SL and Commander, Grunt is to be finished soon.
I'm aware of DICE's hilarious idea to put serials in .ogg files. Moreover, i'm aware of BF2 Sound Tools (oggenc and ogginfo) with which i can extract the serial from an original .ogg file and encode 22050Hz WAV with the same serial to an new .ogg.
I already tried oggenc and made new map loading music to fi_test_bootcamp...
Well processing all those player sounds would be a nasty job and i might write a scripts to do that stuff, but as i'm actually just trying make the sounds work in FDF faction here's my problem:
As i know this has been done many times, so would be glad to learn the drill ;)
Cheers,
Temexter

- in faction init i used to have language "English" and HUD messages added to localization/english/pr.utxt
- i changed the language to "Finnish"
- copied localization files to localization/finnish
- i have GBEnglish sound files in objects_client.zip/common/sound/finnish
- files are untouched
- sounds do not work at all
- when i change the faction language back to "English", the sounds in objects_client.zip/common/sound/english naturally work
As i know this has been done many times, so would be glad to learn the drill ;)
