[?] Quick questions about roads

I've got a couple of questions about making roads. Since they are simple I figured I should just try and ask them in one thread to be efficient

1. I know that the first two control points won't have road between them but are the last two also not supposed to have road between them?


2. What's the best way to place control points for roads that end at the edge of the map? Can you just place them off the map?
